GIFT GUIDE: 10 items under $20

Hi guys! Welcome back to my blog. If you are new here, my name is Abbi and in todays post I am going to be sharing with you 10 gift ideas for under $20. These can be gifts for anyone in your life: your best friend, your sister, your boyfriend, a family member or whoever it may be. All of these items are things that I actually own and I am obsessed with. I know you will be too!

1. The first item are these comfy slippers from target. They are super cute, just a grey color with some knitted detailing. Slippers are a great gift idea for anyone living in an apartment or a house. It's nice to be able to throw on a pair of slippers so you don't have to wear your shoes around.

2. The next gift is this book, Own your Everyday by Jordan Lee Dooley. I've heard so many great things about this book, and I finally read it this past fall. This is one of the most amazing and motivational books all about enjoying life right where you are, and making the most of every moment.

3. The next item is just this phone case from Amazon. Phone cases are a great gift option because its something that people use every single day. This specific case comes in so many unique colors and is still affordable.

4. The next item is actually a gift set, that contains the Mario Badescu lip balm and face cleanser. Both of these items I have repurposed multiple times because they are just that amazing.  The lip balm has the best applicator and smells like coconuts. The face wash isn't foaming which I love and it cleans your skin so well.

5. The next item is the Urban Outfitters Perfumes. They come in so many different fresh scents and are only $18 apiece. If someone in your life loves perfume this is the perfect gift that won't drain your bank account.

6. The next gift are Target Candles. You can never go wrong with gifting a candle and there are so many different scents to choose from! My personal favorite Target scents are: Christmas Cookie,  Sea Salt Vanilla,  and GingerBread House.

7.  The next item is simple jewelry, specifically from urban outfitters. Urban Outfitter's has affordable jewelry that is more personalized so there is an option for everyone in your life, even the pickiest person. All the jewelry I have bought from Urban Outfitters has lasted forever, so even with the affordable price the jewelry is still nice quality.

8. Sweatshirts are the perfect gift option for someone that loves athleisure clothes and being comfortable.  I actually own this cropped sweatshirt in red and it is so so soft and easy to wear every day.

9. A planner or notebook is the perfect gift for someone who loves to stay organized and schedule their days. I love buying planners from TJ Max or Target because they have a lot of different design options and come in a bunch of different sizes.

10. Lastly, if you have no idea at all what to buy someone, a gift card to their favorite coffee shop or restaurant is always a good option. If you drink coffee everyday like me, it's so nice having a gift card to use instead of spending money.

It can be tough coming up with ideas, so I  hope this post was able to give you a little inspiration when it comes to buying Christmas presents for your loved ones this year ♡

About Me

Hi, I'm Abbi and welcome to my blog! I’m from Fort Wayne, Indiana and am 21 years old.   I am currently a senior in college and am working towards being a wellness coach and personal trainer, and am majoring in recreation administration. The most important things in my life are my family, friends, wonderful boyfriend, and my faith.  Another thing I should mention is that I have been a Type One Diabetic since I was 14.   The disease is a part of my everyday life, and although it has brought many challenges, I have learned about myself and grown so much because of it. People tend to assume that I can't have sugar or sweets because of my disease, but that isn't the case at all.  Over the years, I  have learned to find a balance between staying healthy and still enjoying my life. I guess that's the sweet spot, and how I came up with the name of my blog.  Writing h

at home ab workout 💗

Hi guys! Welcome back to another fitness blog post. Today I'm going to share one of my favorite ab workouts. I usually do this twice a week and I've really noticed results! You don't need any equipment, just your own body weight and it takes only 8-10 minutes. Just because you don't have access to a gym doesn't give you an excuse to not love and move your body! *Do 25 repetitions of each exercise* Sit and Taps Russian Twists *I used a dumbbell for this exercise but you definitely don't need one! Sit and Twist Mountain Climbers Circle Crunches *Be sure to squeeze your core throughout the entire movement. Kick out to Reverse Crunch Flutter Kicks Toe Taps Side Crunches Bicycles Plank And that's it! Happy Sweating 💓ðŸĪŠ

how to stay healthy on vacation

Recently, I just  returned from a week vacation in Florida with my fiance and my family. It was such a relaxing time, and it felt awesome to have a break from work and everyday life. I typically don't worry too much about sticking to my workout routine on vacations because I think it's healthy to rest every once in a while to prevent burnout.  But l et’s be honest, vacations are where healthy habits go out the window. Late nights, eating out every day, missing your daily workout, midnight snacks…….. we can be quick to excuse our overindulgence because we are “enjoying ourselves” and “living in the moment." That is, until we return from our vacation feeling sick and in need of another vacation to recover from our last vacation. This can be especially unmotivating if you’re like me and are the type that loves daily routine, workouts and eating healthy. This doesn't always have to be the case though. Over the years I have discovered simple things to do wh
