Gym Shark Review

Gym Shark is one of my new favorite workout brands that I am so excited to write about. I’ve always been a fan of Victoria’s Secret leggings, but found that they were not so great for working out or my budget.  I began hearing about the Gym Shark leggings and seeing people wearing them at the gym where I work, so I figured I’d give them a try.    I ordered a pair of the Fit leggings, which are all black with a black waistband. I was expecting the material of these leggings to be thicker like workout leggings usually are, but they are actually very breathable and thin but not see through. I love how these legging have a sticky lining on the waistband because this means they actually stay up while I run or lift. This is also helpful for holding my phone while I do lunges, so I can still listen to music. (the most important part of my workout routine.) The best part of these leggings I personally think is how they don’t have a crotch inseam, which is more flattering for your bu

The Importance of Balance

“Balance, peace, and joy are the fruit of a successful life.”                                                                                                  – Thomas Kinkade I feel like in today’s society has this idea that healthy eating has its own set of rules, and if you don’t follow them, you are NOT eating healthy. For example who came up with the idea that you should only eat 3 meals a day and 1 snack?  Well if all you are eating is salad and no filling non-nutritious foods, you will not be getting the nutrients that you need.  I know this from personal experience. Handling Type One Diabetes while Living at College

Create routine        One of the most important things in handling my blood sugars while living at college was to create routines. While I’m living at college I tried to eat breakfast at the same time before my classes every day, or tried to workout at the same times during the week, because my body gets used to it, and for me the routines created more stabilization in my numbers and less extreme highs and lows. Try not to stress out        One major factor that can cause high blood sugar in diabetics is stress. Unfortunately, stress cannot always be controlled especially at college. Not only are there tests, homework deadlines, laundry, and friend drama to deal with. Living at college can make stressors worse because you don’t get many breaks from constant stress. Unlike going to local college, you can’t just go home for the day. I have noticed over the past three years of going away to college that my blood sugar tends to lower a lot more over the summer, simply because of le
